大家要沿着认准的路勇敢地往前走，就应该不断地战胜自我。同志们刚来到部队，面对的是一个全新的生活环境，万事开头难，大家遇到一些不如意、不顺心的事是难免的。有的因为起床动作慢、集合动作慢，受到班长和干部的批评；有的因为生活艰苦、训练紧张而一时难以习惯；有的因某一件事没有做好，被战友埋怨责怪，感到懊悔和委屈；也有因犯了一些小的错误，而悲观丧气、情绪低落等。这就要求新战友要敢于战胜自我，超越自己。要以积极进取的精神状态来迎接紧张、艰苦的训练生活。谁都想“事事如意”、“心想事成”、“一帆风顺”。但在现实生活中，人们往往难以如愿，困难、挫折、逆境总是相伴而来。不少新战友入伍前缺乏独立和艰苦的生活锻炼，突然来到部队过严格紧张的军事化生活，一切事情都要靠自己动手来做。这个急剧的转变，有些新战友可能会有些不适应，因而在工作中会遇到一些难题，会出现一些差错，受到一些批评。这本来是很正常的，也算不了什么大不了的问题。就像一个人走路没注意摔了一跤一样，爬起来接着走就是了。我们要战胜自己，用坦然的心态来看待出现的暂不如意的事。我们应当作生活的强者，正确认识生活的复杂性，增强心理承受能力，敢于藐视一切困难，以积极健康的心态来对待一切困难和挫折。吃苦是成人的门坎。经历艰难才能成才。要在部队得到锻炼提高，就必须时时战胜自己的私心杂念，战胜自己的懒惰，战胜自己的懦弱，战胜自己的马虎，战胜自己的一切不良习惯。军队是要随时准备应付局部战争和突发事件的，这就要求每个军人都必须具有一往无前的英雄气概和不怕苦不怕死的拼搏精神，这绝非一日之功，必须要平时刻苦磨炼砥砺，养成习惯，打牢基础。只要有决心、有恒心、有毅力，大家是会很快就完成由普通青年到合格军人的转变，是会很快就承担起合格军人的神圣职责的。
